OVERVIEW
David Schwartz is an associate specializing in bankruptcy law, debtor/creditor rights, commercial litigation and estate planning. David regularly represents debtors, creditors and Trustees in chapter 7 and chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. David has substantial experience reviewing and investigating financial affairs, liquidating assets, collections, as well as litigation in state and federal courts. David also advises clients in business wind down, liquidation and sales, workouts and other debtor/creditor matters. David’s practice has grown to include probate and estate planning having obtained a Certificate of Completion in the areas of probate and estate planning issued by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan
David earned his J.D. from Wayne State University Law School, where he served as a Senior Articles Editor and Assistant Editor of The Wayne Law Review. David was named a Lombard Fellow, and received a full Dean’s Scholarship due to superior academic performance. Prior to attending law school, David received a degree, with honors, in General Business Administration-Pre Law from Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University where he was also a member of the MSU Honors College.
